Based on Todd Oishi's Vampire Leech, the Damsel Bunny Bomber is intended to loosely mimic a damsel nymph. Ideal for casting & retrieving, or trolling, the fluorescent chartreuse bead head and sleek body are designed to seduce even the most finicky of trout.
The tungsten bead head provides the weight necessary for getting the fly down when using a floating line in shallow water. Damsel flies usually roam close to the bottom of lakes, migrating to reeds when preparing to emerge as an adult. The heavy tungsten bead allows the fly to be presented near the bottom and stripped up to represent a migrating nymph.
Feel free to trim the tail down for a more realistic impression of a damsel nymph.
Built on a #10 2X streamer style hook, featuring an olive rabbit zonker strip tail with Olive Krystal Flash, olive UV brill body, and a 3.3mm tungsten bead head.
