The FAB (Foam Arsed Blob) is as its name describes is a Blob featuring a split foam tail.
This stillwater attractor provides a different action to other attractors such as the foam-eyed Booby. A FAB is an excellent pattern designed to trigger a response from a fish. If natural patterns and presentations aren't working stripping a FAB through the water using an aggressive 4-6 strip pause retrieve often wakes them up.
Where legal, a FAB is one of our preferred patterns for a washing line set up as a buoyant point fly to suspend other flies off separate droppers.
