How will the labour dispute at Canada Post affect my order?
Fortunately, Canada Post is not our only option for domestic and international shipments. We will continue to expedite your order as quickly as possible and use the best option to ensure that your order arrives in a timely manner. However, the added pressure on other carriers may result in slightly longer than expected delivery times. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our web team at orders@fredscustomtackle.com.
When will my order be shipped?
We make every effort to get your shipment out as soon as possible. However, sometimes it can take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours to get your order processed and in the hands of our shipping partner.
Sometimes there are stock issues which can cause a delay. We will usually reach out to you ASAP to let you know.
If you are placing a time sensitive order, let us know in the comment area on the order and we'll do our best to satisfy your request.
Our Webstore Team works the same hours as our Abbotsford store (YES we do let them go home), so an order placed at 5:55PM Pacific Time on a Tuesday probably won't get worked on until Wednesday morning.
Once your order has been processed and a shipping document generated, the tracking information will be emailed to you. The tracking information will be available on the shipping company's site once they've received your parcel.
If you're picking your order up in-store, you'll receive an email letting you know that it's ready at whichever store you chose during checkout. When ordering for pick up in Chilliwack, if they don't have the product there it will need to be transferred from Abbotsford causing a delay. If this is a time sensitive order for pick up, do give us a call first to confirm the product is available at the store you want to pick it up at.
Why is my order not receiving free shipping?
We offer free standard shipping via Canada Post on orders over $150.00 (excluding taxes) in Canada on eligible items only.
Examples of items that are not eligible for free shipping include:
- Multi-piece fishing rods (shipped at a flat rate of $25);
- Oversized items such as 1-piece fishing rods or items requiring specialized packaging;
- Overweight or heavy items including smokers, weights and boats;
- Items requiring additional shipping insurance due to their high value, such as marine electronics.
To avoid confusion, we are making every effort to flag items where free shipping does not apply.
This service is not available to orders being shipped outside of Canada.
Do you ship outside of Canada?
Yes we do. However, you will be responsible for any additional taxes or duties levied by your local government.
Where do you ship from?
We ship from our Abbotsford, BC store.
Can someone else pick up my order for me?
Yes (for the most part). They will need the order information and provide photo ID. We will take a picture of the ID and save it with your order.
Of note, we do not allow couriers, taxi drivers, or Uber drivers to pick up orders on your behalf.
